LEDs hit the road with the Audi R8 August 10, 2008

Audi’s high end sports car is using LED’s as running lights, and optionally as the actual headlights.
In fact the company manufacturing the headlight, Automotive Lighting, won the Red Dot design award for their innovative use of LEDs to outline the headlight. The headlight uses Philips Lumileds Luxeon LEDs.
